hi, i’m lea :)

i’m a seattle-based storyteller, copywriter, acd and nyt games enthusiast with a knack for turning insights and business priorities into moments of joy in your feed.

what i’ve been up to

starbucks - associate creative director (2024-2025)

starbucks - senior copywriter (2018-2024)

starbucks - community manger (2017-2018)

microsoft - social media manager (2015-2016)

depending on the day i’m a creative with a strategic social media brain or a social media strategist with a creative brain. my hybrid marketing/copywriting work experience means I create content that entertains and delivers.

i’m also a lover of process and a good person to have on set. if you need a stand-in food stylist, hand model or craft services coordinator, i’m your gal.

my work

bts: behind the screen

some of my best work doesn’t appear in any feed and isn’t measured in likes or views. i’ll take any opportunity to find creative solutions to problems and push my team (and channels) to be more equitable, efficient and effective.

social accessibility

at starbucks i helped lead a team to develop a robust guide for making our channels accessible, including standards and best practices around alt text, open captioning and more. these standards became the north star for the rest of the company’s digital channels and our external agencies.

establishing a brand voice

knowing how to balance “trendy” with “on-brand” is where i thrive. as senior copywriter i established a starbucks social voice that stayed true to the brand and flexed with the ever-changing social landscape. the guides i created kept everyone from our community management team to outside agencies speaking the same language across all channels.

threads launch

what do you do when a new platform drops while all your senior leaders are ooo? in the case of threads, you quickly establish a process and hit send. my initiative paid off, and starbucks gained 2M followers within months. as a writer and creative lead, threads became the place for me to push our brand voice, hop on trends and build a channel strategy from scratch.

we’d make a great team
